A Fellow pour-over setup, suggested (not a bundle): kettle, grinder, dripper

A component-by-component manual-brew setup using verified Fellow products — with cheaper alternatives where the archive documents them.

This is a suggested setup assembled from archive records — not an official bundle, and we claim no performance benefit from same-brand pairing. Component prices are verified only where dated; we show no total because not every component's current price is verified in the same currency.

The components and their roles

1. Kettle — Stagg EKG (30 oz / 0.9 L, to-the-degree control, LCD) A temperature-controlled gooseneck is the pour-over workflow's control point: repeatable temperature and a slow, directed pour. Fellow's family page lists $199.95 with Pro editions above it — confirm the base-model price and which edition you're buying (queued in our research). Lower-cost alternative: any temperature-controlled gooseneck you already own does the same job; the archive documents kettle alternatives across brands.

2. Grinder — Opus 2 ($199.95, verified 2026-09-22) or Ode Brew Grinder Gen 2 The Ode is Fellow's filter-focused grinder (64 mm flat, 31 steps) — the purist pick if pour-over is your only method. The Opus 2 is the flexible pick if espresso is ever in the picture. Essential, not optional: pre-ground coffee undermines every other precision purchase here. Lower-cost alternative: the Baratza Encore ESP covers filter grinding for less with a documented parts program.

3. Dripper — Fellow's Stagg dripper line (XF/XA) is not yet documented in this archive; we won't recommend undocumented products. A V60 or Chemex (queued for full documentation) does the same job; check our brewer coverage as it lands.

4. Storage — Atmos Vacuum Canister (optional; 0.4 L holds up to 6 oz of beans) Beans' freshness window is the input the whole setup protects. Optional, not essential — any airtight container beats the bag left open.

Essential vs optional

Essential: kettle (or kettle-shaped patience), grinder, dripper, filters. Optional: Atmos canister, scale (the archive has not yet documented Fellow's scale offering), Carter mug for the output side.

Unknowns

Stagg dripper documentation, filter compatibility per dripper, and current kettle variant pricing are all open — each is queued rather than guessed here.

Equipment in this guide

Safety: coffee equipment involves electricity, hot water, steam under pressure, and cleaning chemicals. Always unplug, cool down, and follow the manufacturer's instructions. This guide is informational and is not a substitute for the official manual or qualified service.
