Editorial & verification policy

How data on Panaroast is sourced, checked, labeled, and corrected.

Sourcing

Every factual claim on an equipment page traces to a recorded source: manufacturer documentation (product pages, help centers, manuals), retailer listings, or clearly-labeled community observations. Where a source is a third party rather than the manufacturer, the page says so.

Data quality labels

  • Verified — the checked fields come from authoritative sources.
  • Partial — some fields are verified; others are not yet confirmed.
  • Unverified — the record exists but its details have not been confirmed yet.

Labels apply at the field and section level where practical — a sourced specification does not mean every section of a page is complete. Each equipment page's Sources tab lists what was checked, where, and when.

Prices and offers

Recorded prices are dated snapshots ("checked" date and retailer shown), not live prices, and they live in buying modules — never presented as a permanent product attribute. Availability changes; treat every price as of its check date.

What we do not do

  • We do not estimate, round, or extrapolate missing specifications.
  • We do not claim hands-on testing. Product experience claims come only from named owner reports.
  • We do not infer compatibility from appearance or dimensions — fit is documented or it is not shown.
  • We do not use generated or unlicensed product photography.

Corrections

Any equipment page accepts a suggested edit with a cited source. Suggestions enter a review queue; an editor verifies the source before the change is published. Conflicting sources are resolved in favor of the manufacturer's own documentation, and unresolved conflicts are flagged rather than averaged.

Commercial relationships

Buying links may carry commissions when a merchant relationship is approved — see the affiliate disclosure. No commercial relationship affects whether a product is documented or how its data is labeled.
