The Eureka Mignon family: Zero vs Silenzio 55 vs Specialità vs Perfetto

Four Mignons, one chassis: how 55 vs 50 mm burrs, single-dosing, and dosing displays actually split the line.

All four Mignons share the same 120 × 140 mm footprint, 5.6 kg weight, 1350 rpm AC motor class, stepless micrometric adjustment, ACE anti-clump/anti-static system, and Eureka's 10-year motor warranty. The differences are burr size, dosing workflow, and controls — every figure below is from Eureka's own spec tables, checked 2026-09-22.

Which needs favor which

  • Single-dosing, switching beans, low retention — the Zero ships with the full single-dose kit and the Blow Up bellows; it's the only one designed bean-to-cup per dose.
  • Timed dosing into the portafilter, quieter mornings — Silenzio 55 and Specialità are nearly identical hardware; the Specialità adds the dose counter and finer time control (+/− and Extra Dose).
  • Espresso and filter, simpler dialing — the Perfetto is the only one with All Purpose 50 mm burrs and the beginner-oriented Easy-Setting dial, at the cost of espresso grinding speed.

Unresolved

Eureka publishes EU pricing only through dealers (US street prices differ); US stock and warranty routing should be checked with local dealers. A dealer lists the Zero at 1650 rpm / 310 W against Eureka's own 1350 rpm / 320 W — we retain the manufacturer figures and have flagged the conflict.
