Dedica Maestro Plus: Auto LatteArt settings, baskets, and care

A settings-and-accessories walkthrough of the EC950M's automatic wand, its four-basket set, and the manufacturer's care routine.

The Dedica Maestro Plus EC950M is documented on De'Longhi's own pages and video series; this guide organizes what the manufacturer publishes, checked 2026-09-22.

Auto LatteArt: the 3×3 matrix

The automatic wand froths at 3 milk temperatures × 3 foam textures — latte-art fine, fine, and dense — and the official "How to Prepare Milk-based Drinks with Auto LatteArt" video walks each setting. Milk alternatives are supported; results vary by brand and ingredients per the manual's guidance.

The basket system

Four baskets ship in the box — single wall and double wall, in single and double sizes, up to 20 g:

  • Single wall: non-pressurized. De'Longhi positions it for fresh-ground, hands-on brewing with more control.
  • Double wall: pressurized. More forgiving; the documented pairing with pre-ground supermarket coffee.

That dual-wall set is the Maestro's main hardware difference from the cheaper Dedica DeLuxe EC685M, whose basket set is built around 51 mm pressurized-class brewing and ESE pods. Do not assume basket cross-compatibility between the two models — De'Longhi does not document it.

Included accessories

Stainless steel tamper, stainless steel portafilter, stainless milk jug, and the four baskets. The "what's in the box" and setup videos are official (De'Longhi North America channel).

Care routine per the manufacturer

  • Detachable dishwasher-safe parts for cleanup; fully stainless finish wipes down.
  • Removable 54 oz tank with visible water level; De'Longhi's care video covers general maintenance.
  • Thermoblock with fast heat-up; no documented user descale interval was published on the page — follow the manual's alarm (the Dedica line carries descaling alarms) and use De'Longhi's own descaler.

Setup help

De'Longhi publishes a first-use priming video and full settings-menu walkthrough; the support center (EC950M) carries manuals and FAQs.
